The Library will Replace its Information System Effective Monday, August 9, 2010.

Dear Library Patrons:

For better services and enhancement of efficiency, the Library will replace its information system effective Monday, August 9, 2010. Please be reminded of the following message during the transition period:

1.While transferring to the new system, the Library will be closed on both Saturday, August 7 and Sunday, August 8, and temporarily suspend its services from 9:00 p.m., Friday, August 6 to 8:00 a.m., Monday, August 9. If you’d like to use the Library, search on the Webpac, check your library account, or search online databases, please avoid those days when the services are not accessible. The book return drop will remain open 24 hours during this period. We apologize for the inconveniences and appreciate your understanding and patience.

2. To ensure the accuracy of your personal information and assist us in the future correspondences with you, the new system requires every patron to sign “The Statement of Patrons’ Privileges.” We strongly recommend that you login to http://webpac.lib.ccu.edu.tw/, or click “The Statement of Patrons’ Privileges” on the Library Website promptly from 8:00 a.m., August 9 on, to complete the procedures.

3.Your personal ID for login to the new system remains unchanged, but the password will be defaulted as the last five digits of your passport number if you are a foreign student or faculty member.

Please take a few minutes to sign “The Statement of Patrons’ Privileges” from August 9 on. You may also login to http://webpac.lib.ccu.edu.tw/ for user’s manual of the new information system. We are delighted to help you and look forward to offering enhanced and quality services of the new system. If you have any questions, please call (05)272-0411 ex 15112 or 15101 for assistance.

Best regards,

The National Chung Cheng University Library

PLEASE NOTE: The new system will suspend the borrowing privileges of those who haven’t completed signing “The Statement of Patrons’ Privileges” after January 1, 2011.
